Requirements to earn CEU credit:
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is authorized by IACET to offer 0.4 CEU(s) for this program - Activity Number WE-L09152015. CEU creditwill be awarded to participants who meet all criteria for successful completion of this educational activity. The opportunity to earn CEU credit for this course expires October 2, 2015.
To receive credit once per year, participants must:
Complete the registration and save the confirmation with links to access the full curriculum throughout the course
Complete the pre-assessment prior to September 15, 2015
Attend on both days – September 15th and 16th, 2015
Attend all 4 hours of the training
Complete the course evaluation and post-test after the training

In early 2015 CMS expanded the pilot of the MDS Focused Surveys to a full nationwide rollout. As Skilled Nursing Facilities being to experience this new survey process, we are learning what is new and different from the standard survey. This webinar will give an overview of the focused survey process, with examples of the findings and deficiencies that are being cited. We will discuss common themes found in the survey results, and identify best practice ideas for facilities to apply to their own assessment practices in order to be ready for their own focused surveys.
