One-Day Basic QIS Course
Purpose:
Receive invaluable, accurate instruction on QIS from an accredited trainer, who trained under master QIS instructors. Learn how to use QIS for your Quality Improvement efforts. Learn why it is important to learn QIS now and prepare your facility for the change in survey process. No other QIS training program compares. You will also receive a CD-ROM of all the official QIS tools to take back to your facility.
Objectives:
Participants will learn how the Quality Indicator Survey (QIS) differs from the traditional survey process.
Participants will learn what and how to prepare for an onsite QIS visit.
Participants will learn how the new QIS process will improve objectivity and survey consistency for providers.
Participants will learn the new terminology associated with the QIS.
Participants will learn the difference between the QIS Stage I and Stage II processes and the Transition phase between the two stages.
Participants will learn how the new QIS process can be used to assess quality of life.
Participants will learn how the new QIS process can be used to assess quality of care.
Participants will learn how to use the QIS tools to incorporate into their quality assurance/quality improvement program to improve quality care and quality of life for their residents.
Participants will have time to ask questions regarding the content of the program.
