Consulting Company seeking To add a full-time Nurse Consultant to serve our senior living and long term care clients in PA, MD and DE and subcontractors for interim DON assignments.  The full-time position is a great opportunity for an RN with prior Nursing Home consulting experience OR a strong, experienced DON ready for the next step in their career. Corporate headquarters located in Harrisburg, PA and will consider alternative work locations.

If you are looking for a lesser commitment, consider our independent contracting opportunities. The hours and schedules are flexible and assignments usually run from three to six months, occasionally longer. We let you know when we have an opportunity and you decide if you want to make the commitment. We offer competitive rates for subcontractors.

Full-Time Consultant Job Duties

The Nurse Consultant will assist in Medicare and Medicaid coverage and medical necessity issues, medical record documentation, MDS reimbursement and training, conduct clinical audits, support survey efforts and plans of correction and conduct , compliance and coding audits. The ideal consultant will thrive on working in a fast-paced, varied environment, be energetic, proactive, an independent thinker and enjoy teamwork. 

Qualifications for Full-Time Position and Independent Contractors

* 5+ years Director of Nursing experience in a SNF and/or 1+ yrs LTC Consulting experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Solid Survey management skills
*Quality Assurance Auditing experience
*Excellent training skills
*Ability to travel. High degree of time spent on the road. Significant travel by automobile. 1-2 overnights per week possible
