2018 Convention Attendee Information

It is my pleasure to welcome you to PADONA's 30th annual convention titled "Today's Decision/Tomorrow's Vision". Thank you most sincerely for your ongoing support.

On Tuesday April 3rd the PADONA scholarships will be presented 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM in the Castilian Room. Also on Tuesday evening there will be an Ice Cream Social hosted by Complete Healthcare Resources in the Fountain Lobby from 7:00 - 10:00 PM.

We are asking for everyone's cooperation in not using their cellphones and not having personal conversations during the speaker presentations. Both personal conversations and cellphone usage during the lectures last year were very disturbing and annoying to other attendees. Our speakers have a great deal of information to share and want to do so uninterrupted. I sincerely appreciate your cooperation with this matter by muting your phones.

Your nametag is your meal ticket and must be worn at all times. A continental breakfast will be held in the Fountain Lobby on Wednesday between 7 AM and 9 AM. On Thursday and Friday breakfast will be in the Circular between 7AM and 9AM. Lunch is provided Wednesday and Thursday during the times indicated on the enclosed schedule.

In your nametag holder there are 12 tickets for the gift baskets on display at attendee registration in the Overlook Room. No purchase is necessary to enter to win a basket; however you may make a donation. All winners will be drawn Thursday afternoon and a list will be compiled and announced at the conclusion of the last educational program. You must be present to win and all winners must pick up their basket by 5:30 PM Thursday. Exhibitor door prizes will be drawn on Friday at 12:30 PM in the Garden Terrace East. Drop off your exhibitor sign-off sheets at the bar in the Garden Terrace Lounge before that time.

All exhibits will begin Wednesday at 10:00 AM.

You are all invited to attend our Vendor Appreciation Reception which will be held from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Wednesday evening in the Fountain Lobby. On Thursday evening from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM there will be a Gala Reception in the Fountain Lobby. Shuttle service will run continuously from The Hershey Lodge to The Hotel Hershey for your convenience. See below for the shuttle schedule.

Convention attendees will receive an e-mail stating how to complete the 2018 Convention Evaluation Form and receive their applicable credits for attending. Following is a CE/Contact Hour Registration Form.

It is imperative that PADONA have the appropriate e-mail address on file for you. Please ensure e-mail/attachments from cjones@padona.com will be accepted on your end. A large number of PADONA's routine updates/announcements are returned as undeliverable and we would like to be sure our members receive all the pertinent information we provide.

Please mark your calendars for PADONA's 31st annual convention at The Hotel Hershey on April 3-5, 2019.

In closing, I want to thank you for your continued support of PADONA. I hope you enjoy PADONA's 30th annual convention and when you leave you are inspired to fulfill "Tomorrow's Vision".

Respectfully yours,
Susan Piscator, MS, BS, RN, NHA
Executive Director/Chair, Board of Directors
